Hey there Cucamonga School District,

At Los Amigos, we have so much to celebrate and share from our school site. 

🥇 We are the District Attendance Champions! 🥳

I am absolutely thrilled to announce that our school site took first place in the district's September Attendance Awareness contest- Go Dragons! With a margin of a mere 0.10%, we edged out the competition. A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our incredible students and families who have made being at school every day a top priority. Being on time and present ensures that every student has full access to the amazing learning, enrichment, and intervention programs we offer, not to mention all the fun school events! Keep up the great work!

To celebrate this big win, we held a raffle and loved giving out some cool incentives to our dedicated students. Congratulations to the winners who snagged some awesome school swag, earned a special lunch with the principal and our dazzling attendance fairy, and even won a movie gift card!

☕ Coffee & Conversation: Financial Fitness

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Coffee with the Principal event! It was a great morning focused on an important topic: financial planning and literacy.
 

We were so fortunate to have Joel from Modern Woodmen of America share his knowledge and insights with our community. 🏎️ Learning in Action: Peppermint Racers!

We have some seriously cool science happening in the classrooms! A huge shout-out goes to Mrs. S's class who are currently in the middle of a thrilling unit building peppermint racers!
 

It's been so much fun watching the students work through the whole design process: learning the concepts of physics and engineering, building their creative designs, and then testing their creations to see whose racer can go the furthest. This hands-on, inquiry-based approach is exactly what makes learning stick!
