SUPERINTENDENT'S WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
May 15, 2026

Dear CSD Families,

As we approach the final week of the school year, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to our students, staff, and families for making this such a successful and memorable year.

Together, we have celebrated many accomplishments across our district. Our students have demonstrated tremendous growth academically, socially, and emotionally. From classroom achievements and special events to performances, competitions, and community service, this year has been filled with moments that reflect the dedication and talent of our students and the unwavering commitment of our staff.

None of this would be possible without the support of our families. Your partnership, encouragement, and involvement play a vital role in the success of our students and our schools. Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for working alongside us throughout the year.

As we finish the school year, I encourage our students to remain focused, finish strong, and take pride in all they have accomplished.

Take care,

Michael Chaix, Ed.D.
Superintendent

SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT

Rancho Cucamonga Middle School
By Principal Bobby Collins

At Rancho Cucamonga Middle School, the end of the school year has been filled with meaningful moments that celebrate both our proud traditions and the exciting future ahead for our students. Recently, RCMS hosted two special events that highlighted the strength of our school community and the lasting impact of the Lion experience — our annual “Grad Walk” for graduating seniors and a campus visit for incoming 5th grade students who will officially become RCMS Lions this August.

During Grad Walk, former RCMS students returned to campus dressed in their caps and gowns as they prepared to graduate from high school and take the next steps toward college, careers, military service, and other future opportunities. Current students and staff lined our main quad to cheer on these accomplished alumni, creating a powerful full-circle moment that inspired younger students to envision their own future success. The event served as a reminder that determination, resilience, and hard work truly pay off, while also reinforcing the deep connections students continue to feel with the RCMS community long after they leave our campus.

RCMS also had the pleasure of welcoming hundreds of future Lions to campus as 5th grade students from across the district visited to begin their transition into middle school. Students toured campus, met staff members, and experienced the welcoming culture that makes RCMS such a special place. From ASB support to enthusiastic staff interactions, our incoming students were greeted with empathy, encouragement, and excitement as they explored what it means to be part of the Lion family.

Together, these two events beautifully captured the spirit of RCMS — honoring the accomplishments of our past students while enthusiastically preparing the next generation of Lions for success.
